A Solid Cherry Cabinet With a Purpose
This isn’t a mass-produced cabinet built from mystery plywood. Each stand is handcrafted in our family workshop using solid cherry, selected for its distinctive grain and natural aging process. Over time, the wood deepens in color, developing a rich patina that speaks of decades well spent.
We cut each component to order, allowing the piece to retain its identity as a one-of-a-kind build. Unlike the generic record player stands you’ll find in big box stores, this is a real cabinet, hefty, heirloom-quality, and designed to last a lifetime.

"She's a lady Whoa, whoa, whoa she's a lady Talkin' about that little lady And the lady is mine"
She’s Got Style, She’s Got Grace
“She’s a Lady” is a cherry record player stand, a mid-century modern-inspired piece that will add a touch of retro style to any room. The slender cabinet is constructed with reinforced mitered corners for a polished look with no end grain showing. The front edge is beveled, popular in mid-century modern design. This is not your average record player stand, it’s a piece that you’ll be proud to own and display.
Storage Built Around the Way You Listen
Well, she's all you'd ever want
A beautiful record player stand should do more than hold a turntable. It should also store your favorites, display your style, and protect your setup. This player stand does exactly that.
We include dual compartments with optional dividers for vinyl storage, allowing you to browse your collection like in your favorite record shop. Each slot holds up to 40 records, and the open layout makes flipping through your collection easy.
The bottom of the cabinet has ample space for albums (approximately 50 will fit), and room for your amp, headphones, or other audio gear.
Designed to Support Your Whole Setup
Many modern turntables are heavy, especially those with solid plinths or added isolation feet. That’s why we reinforce the record stand surface with additional cross-bracing to prevent sagging or warping over time.
Need space for your amplifier or preamp? There’s room for that too. The open layout can be configured to support different audio components, from vintage tube gear to compact digital setups.
We’ve even had customers request custom cabinets to match their bookshelf speakers or create modular setups that grow as their systems do.
Watch Her Strut – The Distinctive Leg Design
The first thing you’ll notice about “She’s a Lady” is her distinctive leg design. The legs are attached on the outside of the cabinet rather than the traditional ‘under the cabinet’ design and are tapered and slightly angled, giving her a unique and sophisticated profile. But this isn’t just about looks; the legs also provide stability and support for your valuable record collection.

What Makes Cherry Wood Special?
Cherry Record Player Stand – Always Something Nice to Say
Cherry record cabinetry is known for its striking visual depth. Initially pale reddish-brown, it darkens beautifully with age, especially when exposed to light. We prefer clear finishes that showcase this natural transformation over time.
The smooth grain patterns of solid cherry give each record player cabinet a unique identity. No two pieces are alike, and that’s part of the charm. It’s also a forgiving hardwood to work with, allowing us to create tight joinery and soft edges that elevate the piece from simple storage to handcrafted art.
From Workshop to Listening Room: Built With Intention
Every cherry record player stand begins as a sketch, a stack of kiln-dried hardwood, and a plan. Our shop is small by design. We don’t cut corners, and we don’t rush builds.
Each component is hand-planed, sanded, and assembled with traditional joinery methods. We test-fit each piece before finishing, and we photograph every stand before it ships. You’re not just getting a record player stand, you’re getting something made with care, from our family to yours.
A Better Way to Store and Display Records
If you’ve been stacking your records or hiding your turntable on a shelf, this is your sign to upgrade. Your setup deserves to be seen and supported.
A proper player stand does more than look good. It protects your gear from vibration, organizes your collection, and sets the tone for your listening space.
This cherry record player stand delivers on all fronts. Whether you’re spinning jazz, soul, or ambient synth, it makes the experience feel intentional.
Why Choose a Handcrafted Player Stand?
Hand-Crafted by Feel, Not Formula
There’s no jig for this. No automation, no template.
Just a sharp hand plane, a steady grip, and years of instinct guiding the cut.
We shape the bevel of She’s a Lady the same way we shape every detail, by feel, by sound, by touch.
You can hear it in the whisper of the blade.
You can feel it in the curl of the shaving.
And when it’s right… you just know.
That’s how we build.
Not because it’s the fastest way,
but because it’s the right way.
The old-fashioned way.
The way that honors the wood and the hands that shape it.
There are plenty of mass-produced options out there, but most fall short when it comes to durability, aesthetics, and materials. Pressboard and MDF might look good in photos, but it doesn’t hold up to real use.
Our solid wooden turntable stands use real hardwoods. We listen to customer feedback. We test every joint, edge, and angle. And we stand behind our builds.
You can buy once, or you can buy often. We believe in the former.
Delivery and Lead Times
Every record player stand we build starts as a sketch, a stack of cherry, and a promise: we won’t ship it until it’s ready, truly ready.
Depending on how full the shop schedule is, the finish you choose, and the time it takes to cure properly, lead times usually run 8 to 10 weeks. We don’t rush that process. A natural oil finish, for example, can take longer to cure in summer humidity than it does on a dry winter day, and we’d rather delay a shipment than send something that’s not fully cured or flawless.
We’ll also keep you in the loop along the way. From the first cuts to the final buffing, we send progress photos so you can see your stand come to life. And once it’s passed our final inspection, once we’re proud enough to sign our name to it, you’ll get the last round of photos before it ships.
Free delivery is included anywhere in the continental U.S.
If you have a special request, such as a larger cabinet, matching side table, or extra vinyl storage, let us know. Customizations are welcome.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I customize the Sweet Caroline media console?
Absolutely. Sweet Caroline is fully customizable—dimensions, layout, wood species, leg style, finish, you name it. Want it lower to the ground or wider to fit a specific wall? We’re happy to adjust the design to suit your space and your system.
How much vinyl does it hold?
That really depends on how you use this console. Our rule of thumb is 50ish LPS per foot of space. So the maximum number of LPs you could store is roughly 283.
What kind of finish do you use?
We offer several finish options: hand-rubbed varnish, lacquer, or natural oil + wax (others on request). Every finish is selected to enhance the warmth of the cherry and is allowed to fully cure before shipping.
Do you have one in stock or is it made to order?
We try to keep one OG version is stick all the time for immediate shipping, but most builds are made to order. Lead times average 8–10 weeks depending on complexity and shop schedule.
How is it shipped?
We build our own crates and pack each console by hand then ship via insured freight or ground, depending on size and location. Delivery includes photo updates along the way, so you can follow the journey from our workbench to your listening room.
What is the best wood for a record player stand?
Solid hardwoods like cherry, walnut, ash, mahogany, elm, oak, and others are ideal for record player stands.
How tall should a record player console be?
Most record player consoles range from 24 to 30 inches in height. Ours is 24" tall, designed for optimal access whether you're standing or seated. Depending on if you will be putting a big screen TV on top too.
What should I look for in a record player stand?
Look for a stable surface, proper weight support, integrated vinyl storage, cable management, and real materials (like solid hardwood). Bonus points if it’s handcrafted and designed to match your space.
Are hairpin legs strong enough for a record console?
Yes. We use welded steel hairpin legs rated for weight-bearing use. They're strong, mid-century inspired, and allow for cable management and airflow beneath the cabinet.
Is a handcrafted media console worth it?
If you care about quality, longevity, and design, yes. A handmade media console is built to last and tailored to your setup, unlike mass-market options that sacrifice form and function for cost.
