Shipping, Returns & Refund Policy

At Dovetails and Stitches, we take pride in crafting high-quality, handcrafted furniture, accessories, and cabinetry. Every piece is made with care in our small family workshop, and we stand behind our work.

Returns & Refunds

Because our pieces are made to order or crafted in small batches, all sales are final except in cases of damage or defect.

Returns for damaged or defective items must be requested within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Returns and refunds are accepted only if an item arrives damaged or defective.

Damage or Defect Claims

We insure every shipment. To initiate a damage or defect claim, please contact us within 14 days of delivery and include:

  • Clear photos of the product
  • Photos of the packaging and shipping materials

Once verified, we will repair, replace, or refund the item, depending on the nature of the damage and the product involved.

Items Not Eligible for Return or Refund

We do not accept returns or offer refunds for:

  • Custom furniture or made-to-order items (except in cases of damage or defect)
  • Orders canceled more than 24 hours after placement
  • Deposits on custom work once materials have been purchased

Return Shipping Costs

For approved damage or defect claims, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, unless otherwise required by law.

Deposits for Custom Work

Custom orders require a 50–60% deposit, which becomes non-refundable once materials have been purchased. The remaining balance is due upon completion and prior to delivery.
