Looking for menorahs for sale? You’ve come to the right place. Our menorahs are more than seasonal objects, they're heirlooms, carefully made in a small woodshop where design and devotion meet. Each piece we craft holds the memory of old stories and the promise of new ones, lit candle by candle.
You won’t find these in a big-box store. These are menorahs with soul, each one shaped, sanded, and signed by hand. Our pieces aren’t pulled from a warehouse shelf. They’re lifted from a workbench still dusted with walnut shavings and finished with care.
We’ve been honored to ship our menorahs all over the country and even overseas. From newlyweds in Oregon to grandparents in Tel Aviv, our work has found homes in stories far beyond our shop. When someone lights one of our menorahs, they’re not just observing a ritual. They’re adding another verse to the song.
This guide will walk you through different styles of menorahs, what to consider when shopping, and why our handmade menorahs aren’t just made for this Hanukkah, they’re made for a lifetime.
A menorah is more than a candle holder. It’s a declaration of faith, tradition, and beauty. At Dovetails and Stitches, each menorah is shaped by hand, one at a time, using solid hardwoods and meaningful design choices. Whether you favor clean lines or natural edges, symmetry or wild burl grain, there’s a piece here that will speak to you.
Some feature solid brass or nickel candle cups, others gleam with oil menorah wells or abstract interpretations of the classic nine-branch silhouette. We’ve even made a branch menorah carved from a reclaimed tree limb because we believe art and tradition should be alive.
The menorah isn’t just lit, it’s lived with. It sits on your table as laughter fills the room, as blessings are spoken, as stories are shared. It’s part of the rhythm of your celebration, the light in your window, the warmth in your memory.
While we don’t tend to make “traditional” menorahs in the mass-produced sense, we honor tradition by reimagining it. Modern lines. Organic forms. Uncommon woods. Still, every menorah follows halachic guidance, eight lights in a straight line, with the shamash raised above or offset. We honor the form, even as we play with the frame.
Our menorah collection is grounded in reverence but never bound by repetition. From classic Hanukkah menorahs to modern sculptural forms, we build each one to reflect the care and character of your home. Our goal is simple: to add depth, beauty, and lasting value to your Hanukkah celebration.
While we don’t run sitewide discounts or flash sales, we do occasionally offer seasonal pricing—especially on sample pieces, slight seconds, or designs that are being retired. If you’re looking for menorahs for sale at a special price, check our newsletter or visit our Judaica collection as Hanukkah approaches.
But let’s be honest: this isn’t about bargain bins—it’s about bringing beauty, meaning, and light to your celebration.
We’re here to help you mark the season with joy, not just save a few bucks. When you buy one of our menorahs, you’re investing in more than a candle holder. You’re setting the table for memory-making—more laughter, more connection, more light.
Our menorahs are made one at a time—never mass-produced, never outsourced. The price reflects the hours spent shaping each curve by hand, the careful selection of wood, the artistry in every joint and finish. It’s the kind of work that leaves shavings on the shop floor and soul in the final piece.
Many of our menorahs are part of limited-edition runs, one-of-a-kind designs, or collector’s editions that won’t be repeated. When you see one go on sale, it’s not a sign of overstock—it’s a rare opportunity to own something special at just the right time.
So when you see a menorah on sale, it isn’t about clearing space. It’s about giving beautiful work a home. A menorah that might have a subtle knot in the grain, or a design we made in limited quantity, or a piece we’re ready to part with at a special price—without ever compromising quality.
If you value craftsmanship and are simply waiting for the right time, a seasonal sale might be your moment. But know this: sale or not, what you’re getting is the real thing—made with care, built to last, and meant to matter.
In American Sign Language, the sign for “menorah” mimics the spreading of flames: both hands begin together and then open outward, like a fan of light. It’s a visual poem, simple, expressive, and rooted in the same meaning that guides our work.
We didn’t invent that gesture, but we feel deeply connected to what it represents. Hands shaping something meaningful. Hands opening toward tradition, toward family, toward light.
At Dovetails and Stitches, that’s what we do. Every menorah begins and ends with a pair of hands. Wood chosen, cut, carved, and sanded. Candles lit. Blessings said. Children watching, memories forming. Whether it’s ASL or sawdust, the “menorah hand” is a symbol of what matters most: sharing light with the people you love.
The Chanukah menorah, also called a Hanukkiah, holds nine flames: one for each night, plus the shamash. Ours honor that tradition while also exploring new forms. Some hug the line of modern minimalism; others bloom with grain and shape.
If you’re seeking a Chanukah menorah that blends reverence and originality, this is where your search ends. From slab-style walnut and mappa burl designs to abstract interpretations with removable shamash platforms, every menorah has a soul.
Each Chanukah menorah is designed to be functional, flame-safe, and beautiful from every angle.
Hanukkah menorahs don’t need to be made of plastic or mass-cast metal. Ours are carved, shaped, and finished with care from real hardwood, no veneers, no shortcuts. Whether you're lighting candles with children, hosting friends, or starting a new family tradition, these menorahs are meant to be held, touched, and admired.
We finish each one with conservation-grade lacquer, old-fashioned conversion varnishes, and even Eco-friendly natural oils to highlight the beauty of the wood while protecting it for generations. Solid copper or brass candle holders are secured cleanly, with no glue visible and no wobble in sight.
These are Hanukkah menorahs you’ll light with pride—year after year.
Why buy a Hanukkah menorah from a big-box store when you could own a one-of-a-kind piece made by real people who care about faith, art, and craft?
Our most popular designs:
East of the Sun: classic design, available in many hardwoods
Stand By Me: Modern, modular walnut and maple design.
Piece of My Heart: Asymmetrical or live-edge menorah with burl inlay.
Each menorah tells a story. The song is yours to finish.
Looking for meaningful Hanukkah gifts? A handmade menorah is more than a present—it’s a symbol. Whether you’re gifting a newlywed couple, welcoming someone to their first Hanukkah, or honoring a grandparent’s legacy, a menorah is a gift that glows.
Jewish holidays are rooted in memory, light, and connection—and a menorah captures all three. When you gift a handmade menorah, you’re giving more than wood and wax. You’re giving the chance to start a new Jewish tradition—or continue a cherished one with beauty and warmth.
Menorahs make thoughtful gifts for:
Newlyweds setting their first Jewish holiday table
Housewarming celebrations in a new home
Milestone anniversaries
Jewish conversions and first Hanukkah observances
Memorials to honor a loved one’s legacy
We also accept commissions for custom menorahs—whether it’s to mark a special occasion, incorporate heirloom wood, or create a Jewish family keepsake unlike any other.
All menorahs ship gift-ready, carefully packed. From the first cut to the final finish, each one is made to be cherished.
While most of our menorahs are made for candles, we do offer a limited run of oil menorah inserts each year. Candle menorahs are easier for most homes—standard Hanukkah candles fit securely in the polished brass, nickel, or copper cups... And for 2025 ceramic cups are coming.
If you're looking for oil menorahs, join our newsletter list to be notified when they're available. They sell out quickly and are built in even smaller quantities.
Oil menorahs offer an extra connection to tradition. Candle menorahs offer ease. We make room for both.
Our menorah prices range from $120 to $600 or more, depending on the design, wood species, and edition. The Signature Series pieces (like Hey Jude) are higher in price due to the rarity of the materials and the time required.
We believe in transparency:
Solid hardwood only—no MDF or veneers
Signed and numbered for collector’s value
Hand-lacquered finishes that resist wear and time
A menorah isn’t a purchase—it’s an investment in beauty and meaning.
Each menorah we create is rooted in Jewish tradition and guided by timeless design principles. We don’t believe modern Judaica has to mean minimal or sterile. It can be warm. It can be poetic. It can be unexpected.
Our pieces walk that line—honoring halachic dimensions and flame placement while creating forms that feel at home in modern spaces.
You’ll find:
Grain-forward designs that highlight natural wood
Curved vs. linear menorahs depending on visual style
Hidden messages in titles and shapes drawn from song lyrics and psalms
We’ve experimented with glass elements in our menorahs—like oil wells made from flameproof borosilicate—and often incorporate beeswax in finishing. But ultimately, our menorahs are wood-first. That’s what sets them apart.
Wax should drip, not dominate.
Flames should be safe but alive.
Beauty shouldn’t get in the way of ritual.
That’s our design philosophy.
At Dovetails and Stitches, we don’t cut corners. We cut wood. Slowly. Intentionally. With care shaped by tradition and pride passed down through generations.
We’re a small, family-owned studio—not a factory, not a fulfillment center. When you order a menorah from us, you’re not just buying a product. You’re choosing to celebrate Hanukkah with something made by hand, not by machine. You’re supporting old-school craftsmanship in a world that moves too fast.
Our menorahs have graced holiday tables across the country—from first Hanukkahs in new apartments to golden anniversaries celebrated with family. Some have even lit wedding altars or memorial services, carrying light through life’s biggest moments.
We believe what you celebrate with matters. So we build menorahs meant to last, to be remembered, to be passed down.
Each menorah is handcrafted in America in our small studio using solid hardwoods, no MDF, No plywood, or particle board. We shape, sand, and finish every piece ourselves. It’s not pulled from a warehouse. It’s lifted from a workbench still dusted with sawdust and care.
