Designed through a Neo Deco lens, the table draws on architectural proportion rather than ornament. A stepped base grounds the form. A strong vertical element rises through the composition, while the horizontal planes, top, drawer, and shelf, are deliberate, measured, and substantial without feeling heavy.

Solid wood is allowed to lead. Grain, tone, and natural variation are front and center, finished with a warm, hand-applied surface that invites touch rather than shine. There’s no high gloss here and no attempt to turn wood into something it isn’t. The surface feels alive under the hand, smooth, but never slick or plastic.

The integrated drawer is compact but purposeful, opened by a subtle hand-carved grip rather than added hardware. Below, an open shelf provides space for books or personal objects, reinforcing the idea that As Time Goes By is meant to be lived with, not simply looked at.
